Anglo-Saxon DIY

Come practise your woodwork and DIY skills to make things to help bring our village to life!

Learnt to use tools like the Anglo-Saxon’s did!

This is a drop-in, no booking required session to give those who have learnt skills with the project the chance to put them to use, making things and repairing our village. Thanks to Lottery Players and Know Your Neighbourhood these workshops are free.

We now also have a regular session on Thursday afternoons 1-4pm where we run DIY based activities such as:

• Helping move logs in preparation for a workshop
• Daub
• Tidying up the village after bad weather
• Practicing woodwork skills learnt in workshops
• Building projects like making a bread oven structure.

These sessions are supported by Marco and so volunteers come and are given specific jobs to help with – but we also encourage them to self-organise to carry on with projects!
