Young Archaeological Scientists

Young Archaeological Society is back. Unearth history and learn skills from the past. Led by one of our archaeologists, our monthly programme brings you hands on experiments with real archaeological material from our Anglo-Saxon site, with a different focus every month.

In this month’s session we’ll be looking at foods and cooking processes available in medieval times. We’ll have a go on our quernstone to mill flour and make dough in Saxon style.

YAS sessions run on the last Saturday of the month and are split across two separate age groups: ages 8-12 from 10am-12pm and 13-16 from 1-3pm.

£10 per session. All levels of interest and curiosity are welcome!
