Jarrow Hall is a wonderful place to bring your EYFS group to explore, whether you are exploring the farm or the museum.
EYFS groups can enjoy a tour around the farm, visiting each animal and exploring what they do for us. We will also take time to visit our re-construction village and see what homes from the past may have looked like. The main theme of our EYFS tour is to begin to understand ideas of ‘past and present’ in the context of our farm. This will help children to link their own experiences and knowledge with the past.
Should you wish to visit us for a full-day, we are more than happy to adapt our KS1 workshops to support your learning objectives, or you can also take time to visit our Bede Museum, and explore our collection and interactive museum displays. Our museum houses artefacts found at St Paul’s Church during excavations of the Monastery and explores the Anglo-Saxon Period. Our education team will support the group for the entire day!
Self-Led Visits
Should you wish to visit Jarrow Hall as a self-led group, we have two education packs to support your visit, these are aimed at EYFS and KS1 children. These packs have handling items, activities, stories for teachers to tell and much more to help children engage with our site. If you wish to use a bag during your self-led visit, please let us know when booking!
