Early years farm visits at Jarrow Hall are all about getting to know our new Farm School pupils and helping them to feel comfortable
around all the sights, sounds and smells on our farm. Pupils will spend time getting to know the primitive, rare breed and rescued
animals that would have been present in Anglo-Saxon Northumbria such as; Cheviot Goats, Iron-age Pigs, Dexter Bullocks and Primitive
Sheep. Build your own Farm School programme by choosing from a range of themes and seasonal activities.

Pupils partake in farm tasks (within their ability), and build their interactions and engagement with different animals. Pupils will
contribute to discussions on how to be safe around the farm. Themes of activities may be adapted to meet the interests of the group
and typically cover: farm tour, animal identification, feeding the animals, spending time around animals, sensory activities depending
on the season such as planting or foraging, introduction to the seasons and story time
