You’ve met my friends, now here is a little bit about me.

I’m a Berkshire Pig and we are one of the oldest breeds in England. We’re thought to date back to the 17th Century, or slightly earlier.  Berkshire pigs are a rare bread that are part of our agricultural history. Our characteristics include Black hair with some white on our snout, legs and tail.

Did you know that pigs are extremely good at digging and love nothing more than wallowing in a puddle of glorious mud? This is because us pigs have very few sweat glands and bathing in mud is the easiest and best way for us to keep cool.
