Jarrow Hall offer immersive learning experiences focused on Anglo-Saxon History, Daily Life, Farming and St Bede. Book an Education visit with our award winning team today or apply for an education group membership for self-led visits.
Our knowledgeable and passionate staff bring learning to life: Whether your Y1 class are feeding the goats on Jarrow Hall farm, your KS2 pupils are practicing Anglo-Saxon battle techniques in the school hall, or your new Y7’s are connecting with the legacy of St Bede through a webinar, our immersive teaching and learning approach enables children to gain knowledge, connect with culture and heritage, and truly understand topics.
Booking your Education Visit
Our school trips, outreach sessions and online offer include links to the history, geography and science curricula, as well as programmes designed to enrich the lives and learning of your pupils. Through all of our delivery, we aim to foster an interest in learning, a connection with the world around us, and to develop essential life skills such as communication, team working and self-confidence.

Jarrow Hall Education Group Membership
Education group membership is specially designed to allow education groups free entry to Jarrow Hall during normal opening hours for a self-led visit to our museum, reconstructed buildings and Anglo-Saxon Farm.
Jarrow Hall is open to the public Thursday to Sunday during South Tyneside School term times with a winter closure period between mid-December and February Half Term. Occasionally special education activities may be offered and this will come at an additional charge.
Group leaders can also access free of charge for planning and preparation visits.
All visits must be pre-booked at least 10 days in advance to allow us to ensure that there is enough space at Jarrow Hall for all to enjoy.

Home-educating families
It is more cost effective for Home Educating Families to purchase a standard annual ticket within our pay once visit again offer. This enables families to come along to all normal opening days throughout the year. Buy these tickets directly through our website jarrowhall.com.
