The information gathered from the (re)construction of “Thirlings, Building A” provides an opportunity for more research on sixth/seventh century CE timber buildings in Britain and in northern Europe.

The building has been used for events and re-enactments since the late 1990s and is still in optimal condition. Apart from fresh limewash and thatch, no major restorations have been needed so far.
