Our Young Archaeological Scientists SUMMER SCHOOL begins this week!
This is a summer school for the kid who learns differently, the kid who doesn’t enjoy learning sitting in a classroom, but for who digging up our history first-hand could unlock a passion for the past. An opportunity to make new friends, develop new skills and learn lots of cool information to wow history teachers with come September.
Our young archaeological scientists will get a close up look at what you can learn from what’s in the ground below us, using material from the museum and from our REAL excavation. Guided by our archaeologists, kids will get stuck into some exciting experiments, reconstruction work and the handling of real ancient objects.
Each week comprises of 3 sessions, which run on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10AM to 12:30 PM. There will also be an event on the 23rd of August for loved ones to attend to see what their child has learned over the course of the Summer School.
Suitable for ages 8-12
£30 per week or £120 for all five
