Overview

Groundwork North and South Tyneside Jarrow Hall, with funding from National Lottery Heritage Fund, would like to invite an archaeological company to support the re-opening of the excavations at Drewett’s Park in Jarrow from July to December 2025. The aim of our Jarrow Archaeological Mission (JAM) project is to provide mentoring and training for staff and volunteers to ensure new skills are gained and embedded into the future archaeological activity at the site, to fulfil our long-term resilient heritage goals. The project will involve delivering a series of archaeological excavation workshops for staff and volunteers for a total of 9 weeks of activities.   

Budget

The fee for this commission is £36,000 (VAT included), which will cover the cost of materials, preparation and delivery time.
