The leaders were incredibly knowledgeable and gave just the right amount of information pitched at the correct level. The children really enjoyed their visit. I loved the practical elements to it, which meant that all children were engaged and learning..

The farm was fascinating and the children loved going in the recreated buildings. The museum was great too, there were so many things they could handle. It was a brilliant day and we all learned such a lot in a short time. It really brought history to life for us. Thank you.

I have been a teacher since 2008 and I can't remember a trip I enjoyed more. The staff were fabulous with the children and the activities superb. The story around the fire really brought Anglo-Saxon times to life. Things we had covered in school were enhanced with the great resources (battles, runes and burials) you provided. A fabulous centre and one I will recommend to all. It will be on our trip calendar year after year.

We have a range of abilities and needs in our class and all children accessed and enjoyed the trip today. Learning outside the classroom and in the form of drama was brilliant for all!

From the very start, being greeted by our guides in full Anglo-Saxon regalia (one of whom had an owl!) and also by one of the farm cats, the children were mesmerised and felt like they'd entered a magical realm! The storytelling by the fire featuring Grendel's arm was a memory for life and got the children excited about myths and legends. Visiting the farm animals was so beneficial for some of our children with limited experience of nature and rural life. Our guides had exceptional subject knowledge and were able to hold the children's attention and get them involved with expert questioning techniques and drama games. The props and 'artefacts' used during the workshop were obviously selected with care and children of all abilities were able to access the learning. The environment was safe and the guides were very diligent and caring for the wellbeing of the children. I've been teaching for nearly twenty years and this was the best History trip I've been on. Well done to everyone on the team, you're smashing it out of the park! We'll be back next year!
