The group will have around 30 minutes for lunch in our education room – this tends to be at around 12.15-12.45. Half-day groups have the option of staying for lunch.
We can accommodate large groups with notice, but regularly welcome up to three classes (90 children).

Can we park at Jarrow Hall?
We have a dedicated car park with suitable parking for coaches. This is across the road from the main museum car park and will require crossing at the traffic lights.
Our car park is open from around 8.30am-16.30pm
What do we do when we arrive?
When you arrive at Jarrow Hall, a member of our Education team will be on hand to let you in. We kindly ask that school groups wait outside of the museum until a member of our Education team meets you, this will allow us to ensure a safe arrival for the group.
Our doors will open at 10.00.
If a member of our team is not there, please call 07890028027.
Can I book a pre-visit?
We are always happy for teachers to book a preliminary visit. When you are making your booking, please ask our team and we would be more than happy to arrange this.
Your can regularly visit between Thursday-Sunday, but we do have seasonal closures, so please make sure to chat to our team first!
Can we visit the gift shop?
We kindly ask that school groups book the first shop on their booking form, this will allow us to liaise with colleagues in the reception before the visit.
Our gift shop is open to the public on Thursday and Friday, so it is essential that schools book the gift shop for Monday-Wednesday.
Please note: visiting the gift shop may take time away from your workshops.
Do you provide risk assessments?
We are happy to provide risk assessments for school visits. They can be viewed here – https://jarrowhall.com/school-education-risk-assessments/ssessments – Jarrow Hall
These risk assessments cover our sessions and should not replace your own. It is essential that you complete your own risk assessments for your visit too!
