Creative Writing Workshop

‘The world is reset every night meaning your build will always be temporary’

This creative writing workshop is led by Potato, a project at Northumbria University looking at how collaborative and experimental writing can generate shared imaginative space. The workshop invites you to participate in collaborative and creative writing in the spirit of a community of monks producing a multi-authored codex of marginalia. We will work together to produce our own ‘word hoard’ in response to our visit to Jarrow Hall. 

No experience of creative writing is necessary, just an open mind and a willingness to experiment. There will be some walking round the site so please come prepared – we have boots here you can borrow if it’s muddy. 

This event comes as part of our Medieval Fayre celebrations during Jarrow Festival, where entry to Jarrow Hall will be free (suggested donation £2pp) across the Bank Holiday Weekend
